The following guidelines outline the responsibilities of the position titled above. Management
reserves the right to modify any of the duties and responsibilities at any time. Any such changes
must fall within the individuals capabilities within this position and if necessary appropriate training
will be provided to accomplish the new duties and responsibilities.



Overview: Handling of air and oceanfreight shipments including processing of import documents
for full load and consolidated cargo, re-manifesting and ultimate delivery.


- Import Documentation, including Pre-Alerts from overseas Agents, Shipping Lines, handling
  bills of lading and air waybills, pre-advice, arrival, steamship releases, delivery notices for
  ultimate delivery of shipment or container to customer.
- Entering of shipments into the company's computer system and checking information
  notes on the Computer as they pertain to the specific customer.
- Handling of Consolidations including liaising with our Montreal , Toronto and Vancouver offices
  and co-loaders and re-manifesting and on-forwarding to the Prairies
- Advise consignees and warehouses of scheduled arrival of containers
- Update computer with the movement of shipments, containers
- Send out delay notices for later arrival of shipments / i.e. shipments that are on Customs Hold.
- Confirm with overseas agent which carriers to book for the shipment / container
- Arrange consolidation of customers shipments with overseas agents for shipment in one
  container
- Follow up with Customer and overseas agents on Purchase Order Monitoring, updating
- Purchase Order System with agents responses
- Liaise with our Customs Brokerage division on DDU/DDP shipments
- Invoice Shipments including setting up of all payables and receivables
- Approve Invoices for payables
- Understand Ametas for overseas agents profit / loss
- Handle Rate requests from Overseas Agents
- Handle Insurance claims
- Miscellaneous handling of operations, customers and agent queries, such as shortages, delays,
  damage, invoice disputes etc.



- Familiar with use of Computers, Email.
- Excellent Customer Service / telephone Skills with a good command of English language, both
  written and spoken.
- Good communication skills.
- Team player willing to assist other members of the department where needed.
- Self Starter offering insight into improvements within the department and Company to enhance
  the Company’s growth.
  Experience:
- Air and Ocean freight documentation, full load and consolidated cargo.
- Knowledge of procedures for arrival of shipments including customs requirements and delivery
  / warehouse procedures. World geographic knowledge.

Education:

- High School Minimum / College with emphasis on transportation and international business,
  customs clearance.

Attributes:
- Team player, Self starter and motivated. Good with people and excellent communication skills.
