Air Imports

A very well-established international freight forwarder that has an
excellent reputation in the industry is seeking
a well-qualified Air Imports Customer Service Coordinator as the result of growth, for the
Airport area. If you like a busy working
environment and working with a dedicated group of like-minded professionals,
they would like to speak with you.
You bring a minimum of 3-5years + of Freight Forwarding experience in Air
Imports in Canada and you are accustomed to
extensive customer contact and problem-solving. You have excellent English,
both written and verbal and have
a team-player's attitude.

Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct and control the operations of
transportation
- Follow operations policies, procedures, standards, including safety procedures
of dangerous goods,
and ensure compliance with transport regulations
- Provide advice to clients on import shipments and their enquiries.
- Negotiate with carriers & other subcontractors for services and preferential
rates
- Arrange for transport/shipping documentation and oversee the scheduling and
dispatching of goods
and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit.
- Prepare reports for management and customers
- Arrange for insurance coverage for cargo
- Handle Hawb/Mawb, invoices and other shipping documents
- Trace lost or misdirected cargo shipment, process preliminary claims/claims
- Proactive response to service issues
- Daily communication with overseas office, airlines and customers
- Monitoring and updating of shipment status
- Dedication to teamwork
- Will be required to visit clients, sub-contractors, carriers.
- Other duties as required from time to time by the company
Qualifications
- 3-5 years plus of Air Imports experience in
International Freight Forwarding in the GTA
- Experienced in interacting with CBSA and other government departments in
following up
Customer issues regarding de-consolidations
- Practical knowledge of procedures and processes, freight software; MS Office
applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment; multi-tasking, organizing
and problem-solving
