The Director is responsible for providing customer service in regards to customs to both internal
and external customers. He/she will need to be technically competent and well informed of changes
in regulatory matters while providing customers with timely responses and service. The Director will
strive towards continuous improvement of all delivery services to the customer and ensure compliance
with U. S. Customs and applicable Federal Regulations.
Development and execution of Business plan – Member of Executive Team providing strategic
direction of the company
Direct and manage staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop personnel, control
and improve service quality
Develop, implement and continuously improve departmental processes to increase efficiencies
and improve performance to customers
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to secure new business and devise strategic
approaches to the market
Prepare, analyze, and report on monthly productivity and financial results
Liaison with significant business partners including Customs Border Protection, customs brokers,
freight agents, carriers and trade associations
In depth knowledge of Automated Commercial System (ACE) and familiarity with the Customs and
Trade Automated Interface Requirements (CATAIR)
Suggested 10 + years experience in U.S. Customs Brokerage, including Management experience of multiple office locations
U.S. Customhouse Brokers License
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related degree preferred
Experience in both Operations and Customer Service
Proven leadership, communications skills and experienced decision maker
Excellent organization skills with attention to detail
Skill developing and executing internal working procedures
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Customs Brokerage applications and the ability to quickly learn new applications
