Our client is a very well-established and respected leader in the manufacturing
and distribution of agricultural
material handling, construction and transportation tires.
Known for a commitment to the highest quality of

they have an excellent career opportunity as Logistics Planner-CSR to join a
dedicated team of Logistics
professionals
in Brampton.
Our client has strategically
located warehouses throughout North America
that allow them to reach customers on the continental USA and Canada within a
24-hour period. They operate warehouses
in Europe and Asia. Large customers are often serviced through direct shipments
that start at the production facility and
are delivered directly to the manufacturer’s production line or the customer’s
wholesale warehouse.

- The primary duty of this position is to transact with customers in Asia and
Latin America.
Coordinate an inventory pipeline from manufacturing plants through
distribution
to customers, using a vertically integrated management process.
- Involved in inventory utilization, forecasting, and planning and
execution through MRP.
- Assist in developing, coordinating and communicating with Customers to achieve
a
balance of optimal service and inventory investment.
- Coordinate timely resolution of issues related to capacity, quality, system
utilization, and supply chain performance.
- Develop and maintain item/market level demand forecasts.
- Coordinate the logistics of the product pipeline with customers
- Manage inventory investment considering forecast accuracy, production
parameters, lead-times, and financial constraints.
- Coordinate with plants to implement production plans commensurate with
capacity, material availability, workforce requirements and manufacturing
efficiencies.

- 4 to 7 years of Logistics Planning/Coordination and related Customer Service
experience; dealing with
Latin America-based and Pacific-Rim customers
- Knowledge of Spanish and/or Mandarin is useful but not essential
- Prior procurement experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of freight movements, primarily Far East Imports by Ocean,
Intermodal shipments - Truck, both transborder and domestic
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred
- CAPICS certification and/or Logistics training and experience is a plus
