- Customs Rating; processing customs clearances

- Coordinating and clearing transborder freight shipments

- Development and maintenance of tariff profiles for new and existing accounts

- Daily preparation of EDI and manual release requests for various commodities

- Daily completion and presentation of confirming entries;

- Arranging for the delivery and re-forwarding of arriving cargo

- Review and maintenance of Certificates of Origin

- Ongoing development of client relationships

- Providing proactive client service and handling client inquiries

 

- 5 years + years rating and releasing experience in a customs broker

- Practical knowledge of procedures and processes, customs software; MS Office
  applications

- Experienced with preparing entries, import permits, LVS/HVS shipments
  transmit entries and confirm release with Canada Customs

- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment; multi-tasking, organizing
  and problem-solving

- CCS designation or related Industry education is a plus

- Excellent written and spoken English, French speaking an asset
