Our client is a very well-established and respected Customs Broker and Logistics Provider in Canada. As a result of growth
they are seeking to hire a Senior Load Brokerage Sales Developer who is looking for excellent rewards for results
produced.
You have extensive load brokerage sales development experience, are well-connected with a profitable carrier base and
have a strong customer network on both sides of the border.



- Secure third party capacity for all loads originating in your assigned market
- Extensive rate negotiation on a daily basis.
- Responsible for a group of carriers.
- Will need to understand their freight needs, desired flows as well as managing the service they supply
- Network with Customer Service to aid in Brokerage load acceptance.
- Develop a long term plan to enhance third party capacity performance through the use of Continuous Improvement Methods.
- Monitor daily progress of our third party carriers.
- Obtain timely updates from the carriers to ensure we have our loads in the proper status.
- Obtain billing information from third party capacity to ensure we properly bill our customers.
- Monitor and update third party insurance requirements.
- Post loads in your region to DAT, Freightplace, and outside posting companies as necessary.
- Source new carriers to add to the carrier base. Ensure the carrier has proper operating authority and
  insurance as well as understand the carriers' freight needs.

- Bachelors degree and/or extensive load brokerage experience
- Previous sales experience mandatory.
- Sound judgment, initiative and professional communication skills must be exhibited at all
  times when dealing with others to include third party carriers and customer service associates.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload.
- Strong negotiation skills required.
- Possess good problem analysis skills and sound financial judgment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain motivation and energy for cold calling and prospecting carriers.
- Strong work ethic, faster learner.
- Self-starter and motivated to achieve.
- Great phone presence and effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfortable with computer and multiple applications.
