Fortune 500 Company with a wide range of products is seeking an experienced person
with strength in imports for a  a contractual position of Import Traffic Clerk
Your knowledge of Imports from the shipper's side and your ability to multitask, stay organized and
proactively follow up on inbound shipments gives you the edge in fulfilling the variety of
tasks assigned to you. We are looking for someone who can take on this challenge for a
1-year term.

- Accumulate all shipping details and prepare detailed delivery schedules on spreadsheets

- Checks ETA’s daily to ensure schedules are adhered to

- Calculating landed costs for imports; process freight billing and liaise with freight companies
  to investigate and resolve problems

- Work extensively with excel spreadsheets for data input and verification

- Liaising with carriers to process inbound shipments

- Extensive communications with internal and external customers


 

- 2-3 years Import Traffic experience - must have traffic experience gained in private industry/corporate traffic

- Experience working with spreadsheets, import documentation, freight invoices

- Familiar with ocean and truck shipments and the related documentation
